Balance Improvements — August 20, 2021

Some Primes abilities update.

Hello everyone! This is the Battle Prime team.


We have prepared a new balance update. It includes improvements of some Primes abilities. All the changes are based on the received data and your feedback.

COMMON CHANGES


We have changed the passive charging time of the ability for all Primes, except VISION. It has been slightly increased from 24 to 25 seconds for almost all heroes.


Exceptions:

  • ISOTOPE. Passive charging time has been increased from 24 to 30 seconds to reduce the spam of the ability from campers.

  • SHOCK. Passive charging time has been reduced from 16 to 12,5 seconds to increase the effectiveness of SHOCK in battle.


VITYAZ CHANGES


Arctic Shield:

  • The reduction of incoming damage from bullets and grenades has been reduced from 60% to 50%.

  • The duration of the ability has been increased from 8 to 10 s.


The goal of these changes is to slightly weaken the Arctic Shield. That is why we have reduced the damage reduction by 10%. To compensate for this change, we have also slightly increased the duration of the ability.


Also, we have fixed a setting due to which the damage reduction factors (for grenades and bullets) multiplied. That is why VITYAZ received less damage from Cluster Grenade and Nuclear Reactor than he should. Now, this has been fixed.


GLITCH CHANGES


GLITCH copy stats:

  • The outcoming damage has been reduced from 100% to 50%.

GLITCH was too overpowered. This change will help us to slightly decrease the effectiveness of her copy in battle.


ISOTOPE CHANGES


Nuclear Reactor:

  • Max damage has been reduced from 2000 to 1700.

  • Damage decrease from the epicenter of the explosion to the edge of the affected area has been added. Min damage: 850.

  • The radius of the explosion has been increased from 7.5 to 8.5 m.


We have reworked this ability. Now, ISOTOPE can not kill another player with full HP and armor within the radius of the Nuclear Reactor explosion because damage decreases from the epicenter of the explosion to the edge of the affected area.


To compensate for this change, we have also increased the radius of the explosion.


BLAST CHANGES


Cluster Grenade:

  • The radius of the Cluster explosion has been increased from 2.5 to 5 m.

  • The max damage from one Cluster has been reduced from 1023 to 720.

The idea behind the first change is to increase the effectiveness of the Cluster Grenade in the epicenter of the explosion. Earlier Clusters did not affect players in the explosion’s epicenter. Now, this has been fixed.


To balance the increase of the Cluster explosion radius we have also decreased its max damage. Thus, players with full HP and armor will not be killed at the intersection of the explosion of 2 Clusters.


QUARTERBACK CHANGES


Touchdown System:

  • The recoil, while the ability is active, has been reduced by 25%.

  • The accuracy, while ability is active, has been increased from 60% to 70%.

We have improved QUARTERBACK’s ability to slightly increase the comfort of shooting while its use.


Also, we have fixed a setting due to which the incoming damage increase factors (for grenades and bullets) multiplied. That is why QUARTERBACK received more damage from Cluster Grenade and Nuclear Reactor than he should. Now, this has been fixed.


SHOCK CHANGES


Tactical Grenade:

  • Max damage from the explosion increased from 16 to 160.

  • The radius of the explosion has been increased from 10 to 12.5 m.

  • The explosion's effects duration has been reduced from 6 to 4 s.

We have increased both max damage and radius to increase the effectiveness of SHOCK in battle. However, we have also decreased the duration of all Tactical Grenade effects to compensate for the increase of the ability use frequency.
